UDEI STATION

A single mass of 103 kg was recovered just north of the Benue River in south-central Nigeria in 1935. Residents of the area reported that it had fallen in early 1927 and that for miles around they had seen and heard the descent and the fall.

Originally classified as a mesosiderite in 1958, but later re-classified as a Silicated Medium Octahedrite.
