There are basically two types of stony-irons:

MESOSIDERITES:
A mixture in roughly equal parts of metal (Iron-Nickel) and Silicates (Pyroxene, Olivine, Plagioclase).

PALLASITES:
They contain crystallized, sometimes gemmy, grains of Olivine within an Iron-Nickel Matrix
