Found as many masses in the Tenere Desert, northern Niger, since 2000. Over 100kg have been found so far.
This part slice survived a traumatic experience when Alain Carion was carjacked south of Paris and his car set on fire. This slice shows signs of it.
It proved to be difficult to fit into a known class of meteorites, and was originally classified as a Carbonaceous CR, very rich in metal. But recently re-classified as a Primitive Achondrite.
