BELLE PLAINE

Three stones were found within two miles of each other between 1950 and 1963 just of Wichita Kansas, a fourth smaller one was found later in 1951. Oscar Monnig purchased the first two and eventually donated them with his whole collection to Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas.
I acquired this full slice directly from Dr. A. Ehlmann, curator of the collection, as part of a trade. And he told me then that he would not allowed any more slices to be cut from the Belle Plaine masses.
